The reason the stars twinkle, the sun rays hit the coastline, the moon beautifully lines our skies at night and the over two trillion galaxies adorn the multiverses is because the word of God made it happen.
You remember who put the bang in the Big Bang theory? Yes, God by his word did.
All this we have seen in the last three weeks on this series.
Today, we see how relevant God and his word are to men and women as individuals.
We saw previously that all things were made by God’s word, without the word nothing was made. All that God made depends on God and his word to remain sustained, coordinated and to find fulfillment. This includes man.
Here is an interesting truth;
“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”
John 1:4 KJV
Notice, it says “in him” was life; this means, outside him, that is the word which is God, there is no life. If this is the case, it means outside God and his word is death.
Is God relevant to man?
Maybe the question should be, is life relevant to man?
The answer to this is a resounding yes!
All men are in need of life.
Does every man have this life?
The answer is no!
There is an identification to this life, the above scriptures says, “in him” was life. It means life is found in him alone.
To have life is to have the life “in him”, in the word, in God.
By now, it is clear the life in question is unique. Yes, this life is not characterized by biology. It is not sustained by inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide.
So, beyond oxygen and carbon dioxide, there is the life. The one that is found in God, in his word.
Observe how it is described here;
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 KJV
The life that is found in him, in the word, in God is called eternal life.
Is God relevant?
Is life relevant?
Maybe the question should be, is eternal life relevant?
