God is the cohesive force of the universe; the rallying point of all things. If this is true, then there has never been a time when God and His word were not relevant.
“He himself is before all things and all things are held together in him.”

See how The Passion Translation puts it;
“He existed before anything was made, and now everything finds completion in him.”
—Colossians 1:17 TPT
The phrase, “everything finds completion in him”, means everything—visible and invisible, man and angel, finds its purpose; is fulfilled, only in him.
Remember, we have earlier seen that God and His word are one and the same. So, by saying everything finds completion, its purpose, or is fulfilled in God, is to say the same about the word.
Is God relevant in today’s world?
Furthermore, Hebrews 1:3 says;
“Faith empowers us to see that the universe was created and beautifully coordinated by the power of God’s words! He spoke and the invisible realm gave birth to all that is seen.”

The word “universe” in the above scripture is translated as “world”, “ages”, “age”, “course”, or “forever” in other places in the Bible.
If the world, ages, age, course and forever (eternity) is framed or coordinated by the word, then it goes to show how relevant God and his word is and will always be.
Is the universe still on course? Is the universe coordinated today? Is God still relevant today?
Those who argue, that God and his word are not relevant today, cannot deny the presence of order in the universe. From the smallest atom to millions and millions of stellar bodies that make up the galaxies, order and not chaos is seen.
Most are quick to ascribe these orders to natural laws. They fail to realize that these “natural laws” did not appear from nothing. God’s word set them on course and they have remained so, ever since creation.
How relevant is God and His word today? If God is relevant for the universe to be held together, then what about you?
