A couple of Mondays ago we talked around knowing your request and staying with it till it materializes before you.
I said then, “most times people ask the father for apple and when they see an orange coming their way they run towards it. They start thanking God for it. You hear them say; “at least I have an orange, even if God did not give me the apple””.
If you missed it or will like to go through it again use the second link at the bottom.
Today I will like to do a follow up to that write up and it centers around the audacity to ask the father anything, your needs and wants inclusive.
Many times people say, Father only answers our needs not our wants. I guess they have not read Psalms 23: “The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want”.
One reason people fail to ask the father for a thing is because they think they will be asking too much. So they drop their request to something smaller. Something they think Father will not be angry with or be able to give them.
Never in the scriptures were we told to cut our coat according to our size. That’s the world system.
See what Jesus our Lord and perfect example said:
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24 KJV)
See the bold statement, see the key words, “whatever” “desire” “when you pray” “believe that you receive them” and “you shall have them”.
Nothing in the scriptures suggest you should be timid in asking. In this kingdom there is no humility in asking. Ask bold and receive bold.
We ask small or settle for less because we don’t believe our own words when we call Father “Almighty God”. If truly he is almighty God you will not ask like you are asking a man. Even men go the distance to provide for their children.
Friends, as you pray or make request don’t just remember what you prayed for, ask boldly your wants and needs included.
All you will ever need or want have been paid for in the finished works of Christ. Thus we can boldly partake of all the promises of God in Christ for they are “Yes” and so we boldly say “Amen” to our prayers.
Remember, in this kingdom of God there is no humility in asking. Ask boldly for it is the way of faith.
