Today, I have no intention to debate on the validity of the song or its invalidity.
I just want to show you this, one of the most significant things in this generation and days we find ourselves is the presence and multiplication of darkness.
Evil is fast becoming the norm, in fact people frown at you if you try to stay above the evil in world. People everywhere are seeking for help out of one pain or the other.
Hospitals are filled with sick and hopeless people, families are broken, men are bartered daily, for men's heart are indeed desperately wicked.
People run to anything that looks like light, the way, or that promises a better life. So men fall for conmen disguised as men of God, money doublers posing as investors and traitors smiling as foes.
In this dire moments, you that have the genuine light, hear what Jesus is saying to everyone that believes in his name;
“You are light for the world. A city cannot be hidden when it is located on a hill.
No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket. Instead, everyone who lights a lamp puts it on a lamp stand.
Then its light shines on everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine in front of people.
Then they will see the good that you do and praise your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14-16 GW
I can't see where it is written that you should not shine your light until it shines brighter than the sun, all it says is LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BEFORE MEN.
There wouldn't be a need for Proverbs 4:18 which says; “But the path of righteous people is like the light of dawn that becomes brighter and brighter until it reaches midday.”

If you know anything about the light of the dawn, it's nothing you can call bright, but every serious persons wakes up to it in other to achieve laid down plans.
Friends, I urge you today, do not keep back your little help, smile, friendliness, kindness or vision. The world is in need of it. Let it shine,
