I BELIEVE IN NIGERIA ~ THE SCENT OF WATER WE SEEK

I wake up everyday to the pains of my people
Faces looking up to her government
Long abandoned in the quest for a better day

A look at the leadership of this nation
Is disheartening
Brings one to tears

But there is hope for The nation called Nigeria
I believe in Nigeria

Scattered all across the nation
Are dilapidated health facilities
Abandoned by her government

Mothers die avoidable deaths giving birth to children
From the first breathe, children are motherless
What cruelty

But there is hope for the nation called Nigeria
I believe in Nigeria

We boast of the richest man in Africa
Or should I say, the richest Blackman
Yet we are a poor country

We are rich in crude
Abundant in other natural resources
Yet my people are poor

But there is hope for the nation called Nigeria
I believe in Nigeria

“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again,
that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.”
Job 14:7-9 KJV

But there is hope for the nation called Nigeria
I believe in Nigeria

For Nigeria, my nation is daily cut down
Where is this scent of water
Or who are this scent of water ?

Jesus said, “He that believeth on me,
as the scripture hath said,
out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:38 KJV

But there is hope for the nation called Nigeria
I believe in Nigeria

You are the scent of water Nigeria seeks
Everyone that believes in Christ
Out of your belly flows this needed water

Let your water flow, Nigeria can bud again
Look not on the government
Take responsibility, let your water give life to us

But there is hope for the nation called Nigeria
I believe in Nigeria

And saviours shall come up on mount Zion
We are the saviours Nigeria seek
Believers rise up
Obadiah 1:21 KJV

For we  are builders of the old wastes,
Raisers of the former desolations,
Repairers of the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.”
Isaiah 61:4 KJV

But there is hope for the nation called Nigeria
I belie

Child of God, filled with the Holy Spirit
Catch a vision for this nation
Run with it

One day at a time
Transform one man at a time
Transform Nigeria
