Few days ago I was discussing with two of my senior colleagues,
on how they inspire me to read more, academically speaking now. In the course
of the discussion, one of them, Peter Anikwe, made this statement, “one
tends to walk faster if he sees light at the end of the tunnel, if it is all
dark, he might as well give up”
When I heard this statement, I pondered on it for a while. It
seems logically true, in dark moments, the least reflection of light can strengthen
one to move on. Then suddenly light flooded my mind from the scriptures, “Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrew 12:2 KJV).
Then another scripture hit me, “Eternal life is in him, and this
life gives LIGHT to all mankind. 5 His life is the LIGHT that shines through
the darkness-and the darkness can never extinguish it.” (John 1:4-5 TLB).
John talking about Jesus calls him the light that shines in
darkness and darkness cannot put it out. Then I said to myself, if I have Jesus
in the dark tunnel, then I have the light that darkness cannot put out.
Wow, it excites me to know that no matter the darkness, gloominess,
heartache, pain and difficult situation I find myself all I need is see Jesus
at the end of the tunnel and I can walk boldly to the end of it.
WHO IS AT THE END OF
YOUR DARK TUNNEL, JESUS? THEN WALK BOLDLY. IF NOT INVITE HIM INTO THE TUNNEL
NOW.
GO ACHIEVE
