In the beginning God.
The above statement is complete on it’s own and possesses tremendous meaning, at the same time providing us with something to think about.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1 KJV
I think you should go back to read the above statement again and read the quote from Genesis 1:1.
If you look closely, you will realise that for God to create the heaven and the earth, it means God was before them. Meaning before ever the heavens and the earth were created God was. Your creation does not pre-date you.
A closer look will reveal that God is not post the beginning but pre the beginning. This means the beginning, the heaven and the earth had a source. Nothing suggests a start date for God. Therefore God is the progenitor of the beginning, the creator of the heaven and the earth.
The beginning, the heaven and the earth all have a time frame, an origin, God. Leaving God outside or before the start frame, without a beginning and thus no end.
In Genesis 1:1 Moses gave a summary of the creation of the heaven and the earth. He went on to give some details about the creation of the earth. Although he didn’t give much details of the creations of the heaven, it begs our understanding that such exists.
A read through Job 38 and 39 and Psalm 148 will further reveal the creator God, and his creations.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:1 KJV
The book of John sheds more light.
The word was present at the start date of the beginning. The word already was with God when the beginning began. Then he closes with one of the greatest revelations of all time, “and the word was God”.
It is safe to say that everything before the beginning, without a start date, not created is referred to as God, just as we see with the word.
Before there was the beginning, the heaven and the earth, there was a dateless, sourceless, not created God, called the word.
