Beloved. Have you recently been feeling like you're stuck at a particular level?
Are you constantly chagrined at your seeming inability to stand out in a distinct and exceptional manner?
Are the voices in your head telling you that you'll always only be second best?
Then, I think it's time we dealt with that.
First of all dear one, I need you to remember this as we proceed—the only competition you have on this earth, is you. Everyone and everything else, are either inspirations or 'complementors', similar visions or not.
The psalmist had this to say about himself in scripture, and this rings true for you as well:
"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
—Psalms 139:14 (KJV)
Beloved, your making was one filled with reverential awe. It was one that had divinity carefully crafting you with the finest of details, even before conception. For this reason alone, you should realise that you are extraordinary. For a being such as yourself, there can't possibly be any limitations other than the ones you accept.
It's true you might not be making waves right now, and your current progress rate isn't what you'd envisioned for yourself. But still, do not give in to that feeling of despair or sink into that quagmire of defeat. You are who God says you are, and your experiences past or present do not change that!
It's okay to go back to the drawing board if you feel stuck or down. But after doing so, stick to what you've seen, and remind yourself that you're better than mediocre. Don't be limited. Don't be shattered. Break out and soar!
Write it out where you can see it daily if you have to. Make a song that reminds you of this, your ringtone, or even meditate on words that remind you of this truth. There is no level that can't be surpassed, no wall that can't be breached. The moment you begin to see yourself as more than you do now, that's the beginning of your breaking free!
