It is impossible to give someone your bag to carry and still bear the weight of the same bag.
Coming from our last post “TRUST”, it is by all standards impossible to trust God and not have the peace that comes with it.
It is a common sight to see people who say they are trusting God for a thing and yet are the most troubled. Why is that so? Is it because they don’t trust him? In many cases they do, but like in our opening statement they are still bearing the weight they gave God to carry.
How do they do this? They say to God, “help me, I can’t do this” or “I turn this over to you”. But they leave that place looking at their own deficiency, the same reason they called on God’s help hunts them all the way, because they keep those reasons before them.
They know God is able but like the children of Israel as they see the Egyptians coming and the Red Sea raging they loose heart. But God is the ocean divider.
Someone once said; “if you must pray then don’t worry. If you must worry then don’t pray”. You can’t worry and pray at the same time. Prayer hinges on faith, worry is counter productive to faith.
“Abraham’s faith would have been nullified if he were to take his own age and the deadness of Sarah’s womb into account. His hundred year old body and Sarah’s barren womb did not distract him in the least! He finally knew that no contribution from their side could possibly assist God in fulfilling his promise!
While he had every reason to doubt the promise, he did not hesitate for a moment but instead empowered by faith confidence, he continued to communicate God’s opinion.” (Romans 4:19-20 the mirror bible).
Now that your trust is in God, what is your opinion about the same matter? Still insurmountable? Why worry? Why listen to your fears?
Don’t shortchange yourself, after trusting God, peace is what follows.
