The world in which we live is filled with ups and downs, and so much instability that believers are forced to think that they too have a place in the see-saw of the phrase re-echoed as “NOBODY KNOWS TOMORROW”.
And because of this, you find people living their lives in uncertainty. Afraid to take steps in the right direction. Careful not to make mistakes or be caught failing in any endeavor.
You see people so scared to come out and do anything out of the ordinary because they feel so scared of failing. Such lifestyles would never amount to greatness, for in trying to 'take things easy', men and women always end up living beneath their life's potential.
You see people so scared to come out and do anything out of the ordinary because they feel so scared of failing. Such lifestyles would never amount to greatness, for in trying to 'take things easy', men and women always end up living beneath their life's potential.
Their every life submerged in uncertainty, they attribute everything in life to chance or luck. Again, this kind of living and thinking would never amount to greatness.
Wherever you find people who chant "nobody knows tomorrow" as the mantra of their lives, you are sure to find the fear of the unknown ravaging them. This kind of people also remain small: not just in terms of social or financial status butin their pattern of thinking.
Like I always say, you can not live in an unstable world and still anchor your life in the world. There is stability in this life my friend. It is found in the Christ and in his finished works.
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]”
John 16:33 AMPC
What Peace, and what great joy we find in the above scripture. It is clear that in Christ even the tomorrow that a lot of us fear has been overcome.
In this statement of Christ above, every victory you could ever think of is embedded. Marital, academic, political, financial, you name it! They are all captured in his word “I have overcome the world”.
This means that if you are in Christ, you have overcome totally. You can live assured of victory today, tomorrow, and for everyday of your life. You can boldly say your tomorrow is victorious.
Declaration: I KNOW TOMORROW, FOR IN CHRIST IT IS VICTORIOUS. I HAVE OVERCOME!
