It is said that the eyes are the window to the soul. Truer words were never said because the eyes do not just signify the literal sense of vision but they also are the next portal to the heart which we will be considering next.
The importance of seeing can't be overemphasized, from appreciating the beauty of the Lord around us to having amazing time with friends and family in a vitrtual game night session or 4D movie.
However, before we examine the "how", let’s take a look at the "what" of seeing, Shall we?. It begins on the balcony of a popular King we know:
One late afternoon, David got up from taking his nap and was strolling on the roof of the palace. From his vantage point on the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was stunningly beautiful. David sent to ask about her, and was told, “Isn’t this Bathsheba, daughter of Eliam and wife of Uriah the Hittite?” David sent his agents to get her. After she arrived, he went to bed with her. (This occurred during the time of “purification” following her period.) Then she returned home. Before long she realized she was pregnant. Later she sent word to David: “I’m pregnant.”

Sounds like an epic drama on Netflix right?
It isn't.
Antecedence makes us to understand that David was actually in the right place at the wrong time and probably out of boredom decided to take a stroll. After all, he is King.
The word says: HE SAW.
What did he see?
A woman bathing.
Wow.
But later on in this story, we find out what he's seeing led to: adultery, murder, the death of an innocent baby and a grim curse on his household.
All which started with the opening of his eye gate.
You might say "What was he thinking? He should have looked away? Why would he sleep with another mans wife?
Well King David is no longer here.
Let's talk about you. What are you looking at today? Perhaps a glance at some site which you may think is "harmless"? Some chat which you believe is privy to you?
What have you opened the window of your soul to?
It has the capacity to make or mar not just your destiny but that of your world and generations unborn
