ALL THE TIME, BE GOOD.

You will agree with me on this, the world is in need of goodness. People are suffering in the midst of plenty, largely because men have refused to be good.

Some persons do good occasionally, when it’s convenient. Some others do good to those who do good to them, more like a pay back. Their are some who still think it’s impossible to be good all the time, they say it’s a quality for God alone.

What is goodness? Do we need goodness all the time?
Goodness can be  expressed to every being. It is the expression of kindness, the show of compassion, telling and standing for the truth. It is being patient with the next man, it is honoring people regardless of their social or economic status. It is being sacrificial, it is found in putting others first.

And yes, we all need goodness all the time. As much as we want to receive goodness we should be givers too.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians‬6:9‬NIV).

I know we desire goodness in return when we express it to people, and if we don’t get same in return we become heartbroken and we stop. The scripture above says, we should not be tired of doing good. There is certainly a reward for doing good.

The world will be a better place if we have more people going out of their way just to be good. In the book of Acts 10:38, the Bible says Jesus went about doing good, because God was with him. Today we have God within us, we can be good all the time.

Choose to be good all the time, don’t get tired. The reward may be instant, it may not be. Don’t go seeking the reward for then it will not be truly good but selfish. Do good, as truthful as the word is, your reward will come.

God is good all the time, you can be too!
