They come in various sizes, shapes and colors. There is usually this excitement that comes with unwrapping a gift. We want to see what is underneath the lovely wrappings or the gift box.
Did you know that not all gifts come in gift boxes or wrappings? Some gifts are too gorgeous to fit into a wrapping sheet.
Take for example, the gift of a new day, friendship, time, companionship, children, laughter, the list goes on. In fact the best gifts do not fit into gift boxes or wrapping sheets.
I love the gift of a new day. It brings with it freshly delivered opportunity, to live again, to love again, to try again on failed projects, to succeed.
Each new day presents to us the ability to write a new script of our life. Is like we are being handed a new canvas never painted on. We either paint or don't paint on it. We can choose to paint a masterpiece or catastrophe.
“But this I call to mind; therefore I have hope: The LORD’s loyal kindness never ceases; his compassions never end. They are fresh every morning; your faithfulness is abundant!” (Lamentations 3:21-23 NET)
The above scripture is God reminding us of his kindness, his compassion and faithfulness towards us every single day.
I encourage you, seize the opportunity today brings and apply them to your life, paint a masterpiece on the canvas the day has delivered to you. Write your story the way you want men to read it in years to come.
Remember, the best gifts do not come in gift boxes or wrappers. Today is your gift, use it wisely.
