So, before you get so busy with the fun fair and trips to family and friends, I want you to retrospectively take a forward leap into 2019. Yeah, I mean exactly what you read.
“Suppose you want to build a tower. You would first sit down and figure out what it costs. Then you would see if you have enough money to finish it.”
(Luke 14:28 GW)
Part of counting the cost is taking a look at the past in other to see where you did right and where you missed it and how to avert your errors in the coming year.
Constructively critique your year thus far, be blunt, tell yourself the truth. What will you gain by lying to yourself?
This is not the moment to encourage yourself with lies, because whatever you find out now will lay the foundation for next year and you don't want to be building your future on lies. For if you do you will be planning to fail next year.
Take a time out, few hours, a day or two as you think will be enough but make sure the time is good enough to birth the needed result to set the forthcoming year in the right direction.
Please, don't procrastinate this all important review of your year thus far, you may need a pen and a paper too.
As you do, remember when you plan with God you have planned to succeed.
“So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.”
(2 Chronicles 27:6 KJV)
