WHEN I DON'T FEEL GOD

When I don't feel God? 

Many people, believers and non believers and even atheist have this common statement at one time of their life, some live with it all through their lifetime.

I have heard people say words like, I don't feel God is aware of what am going through, I can't feel God, I don't feel I am born again, some say, I feel God is angry with me, I feel God has abandoned the world due to the sufferings in the world.

Now, these feelings maybe genuine. That your feelings are genuine does not make them right, for example, a lady having feelings for a married man and  going after him, does it make it right? No, it does not.

Take a look at all the above statements, they all have one fundamental problem, they all hinge on trying to feel God. Trying to feel God before you approve of his presence is a futile task, is like trying to empty the ocean using a teaspoon.

"God is a Spirit" (John 4:24 KJV), so trying to access him or determine if he is present in a situation or not with our feeling is futile. 

Feeling is in the sense dimension. On this plane, the terrestrial, we work with our senses, and what we cannot pick does not exist. But God lives and operate beyond this realm.  Our feelings are useless in trying to know God.

But he wants us to be aware of him, he is not in doubt, he made a way so we can access him but, we ignore his way and turn around to say he does not exist or we can't feel him.

Jesus said “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24 KJV). Did you see that, the way to relate with God or access him is via our spirit. spirit should understand Spirit right?  

Now, it is important to know, that not all spirits can access God, not because God discriminates but because some spirit just can't understand him, and if two must communicate they must understand each other right?

It takes a regenerated spirit, a new spirit to access God. Because the unregenerate spirit rebels against God.( 2 Cor 5:17, Rom 8:7).

Now, we see why we cannot talk about feeling God. We can't say he is not with us just because we can't feel him. 

God is always with us, we don't need to feel him to believe , we know it because his Spirit bears witness with our spirit. We know it because he cannot lie, he said I will never leave you nor forsake you. 

So dear one, stop trying to feel God, you will live a frustrated life. If you are born again, then access him with your spirit. If you are not born again, accept him into your spirit.
