FAILURE IS OVERHYPED

Failure, the omission of occurrence or performance
Failure, a state of inability to perform a normal function
Failure, a fracturing or giving way under stress
Failure, lack of success
Failure, a falling short

All these are definitions of failure, none mentioned failure as the end of life, and none says failure is the reason not to try again. Where did we get this meaning of failure that screams “I AM FINISHED” “I WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING” “I WILL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH” “SUICIDE IS MY WAY OUT NOW”, whoever schooled us about failure certainly failed.

In my opinion, failure is OVERHYPED. I believe failure has been OVERRATED, so much that failure dares to stand tall and stare us in the eyes. In a bid to “succeed”, whave provided failure with so much energy by focusing all day on it, by the heightened sense of fear we accord it, that it has robbed us of what we desire most, success!

But, failure is a process not the end, a chapter not the book, a bend on the way, not the destination, TAKE THIS FROM ME, BECAUSE I KNOW, I HAVE FAILED MANY TIMES IN MY LIFE.

Most people say what keeps them afloat is the fear of failure, and many agree to this. Allow me to burst your bubble, those who have succeeded the most are those who have failed more times than they have succeeded. They see failure as a process in the quest for success, they embrace failure and saps the energy it carries and run for the finish line.

The stigma attached to failure is so unnecessary. I believe you can learn more from failure than straight success can ever teach you. If only we know the potentials that failure carries, we won’t disband our lives when we fail.

Failure, over the years has made more people successful than success has. We simply are afraid of failure because of what people will say most times, not because we can’t stand failure. We crack and almost give up because of what people will say.
Who amongst you remains on the floor because you fell while walking from point A to B?

O evil man, leave the upright man alone and quit trying to cheat him out of his rights. DON'T YOU KNOW THAT THIS GOOD MAN, THOUGH YOU TRIP HIM UP SEVEN TIMES, WILL EACH TIME RISE AGAIN? But one calamity is enough to lay you low. (Proverbs 24:15 TLB).
