Dear friends, it's my pleasure to welcome you to today's post.
Understanding is a fundamental principle of the Bible, God wants us to do everything he ask us to but with understanding.
Much more, God wants us to have UNDERSTANDING OF THE TIMES in which we live. Largely, God operates with men in times and seasons.
In Genesis 8:22 the Bible says; While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Look closely at the above scripture you will see that God was pointing man to times and seasons. And from that moment till date God has related with men in times and seasons.
Jesus in Luke 19:41-44, rebuked the people of Jerusalem "because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation" . This is to let us know that God wants us to understand the seasons and times we live in.
It is for our benefit to understand what is obtainable in every season and time. Because every season and time is unique. As Ecclesiastes teaches, there is time for everything.(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).
Now, we agree that every season and time is unique, we must also understand that there is what to expect with every season and time and how to live each day of these times.
If we know the above, then no season or time will take us unawares. Before winter, people go out to buy winter jackets. So they know what is coming and are fully prepared for it.
