Last week we laid the foundation that the earth runs in times and seasons and clearly from the scriptures God honors them.
We also stressed that, just as in raining season we expect and have rain , every season fulfills its naming.
And we ended with a question DO YOU KNOW THE TIME AND SEASON WE FIND OURSELVES TODAY?
DO YOU HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF IT?
Let me help bring you into understanding of the times we find ourselves so as to equip us for a better and fulfilled life.
The prophet Joel speaking in Joel chapter 2:28-29 said; "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.”
The Apostle Peter in Acts chapter 2:14-18 declared the fulfillment of Joel's prophesy when the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples, it said;
“But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the LAST DAYS( emphasis mine) saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:”
Over 2000 years ago Peter called his time the last days, what do you think today is ? Your guess is as good as mine.
My dear friends it is pertinent that we understand the times we are in, from the scriptures the last days began on the day of Pentecost.
WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS, ALLOW ME TO ADD, THE LATTER PART OF THE LAST DAYS!
