Do two people walk hand in hand, if they aren't going to the
same place? (Amos 3:3 MSG). We have all heard people say words like this, “you have made
me a better person”, “my life was going smoothly till I met you”. These words,
express either regrets or applauds in having contact with other persons, many a
times friends.
Friendship is one very important aspect of our lives that
many people take lightly. Who you call your friend is as important as what you
become in life.
Many people are in a mess today, or have swayed from their
vision and dreams because of the wrong kind of friends. Same way many have and
are actualizing their vision and dreams because of the friends they met or
have.
Ask yourself this question, are the people you call friends,
helping you fulfill your vision? What about my relationship with God, have I become
a better Christian?
You must understand that your friends play a major role in
fulfilling your destiny. You can’t board just any bus and get to a desired
destination, there is a bus for every destination.
Amnon, King David’s son, had a friend Jonadab, he advised
Amnon to defile his sister Tamar, This brought about the death of Amnon (2
Samuel 13). Jonathan, was King Saul’s son and David’s friend, he helped David escape
death by the hand of Saul. Is your friend helping you keep the life God has giving you or taking the
life out of you?
Don't become partners with those who reject God. How can you
make a partnership out of right and wrong? That's not partnership; that's war.
Is light best friends with dark? Does
Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? (2 Corinthians
6:14-15 MSG)
CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS WITH
YOUR LIFE’S PURPOSE IN MIND.
