Hello friends, it’s always a joy to write to you. It doesn’t
matter what last week looked like or was for you, this week is better. Friends,
don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but
I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward — to Jesus.
(Philippians 3:13-14 MSG).
This week, to continue in the path of TRAINING FOR REIGNING,
I will like to remind you that before you reign in life, you need to serve.
Thus the essence of today’s message, TRAIN TO SERVE. No one man anywhere can
boast of reigning without first serving. To serve is the ladder to reign. If
you must reign in whatever field you are in now, you must serve in that field.
Serving allows you to learn on the job. It affords you
mistakes that will ordinarily cost you your goal, It is more like having an
extra life. You get to learn from the mistakes of whoever you are serving. In
our world today, everyone wants to lead. Everyone likes to call the shot, truth
is you will never become a true leader in your desired goal or field without
first serving someone.
Basically, pride hinders many from serving. They claim to
know too much already, they see serving as the lowest rung and thus run away
from it. But, they forget that you need the first rung to make the highest.
People forget this, it is when you take the posture of a servant that people
catch a glimpse of the king or queen in you. It takes a gracious servant to
make a great leader. To serve is noble, the best leaders are the best servants,
and they serve others and lead others to do the same.
Jesus, our Lord said; I am among you as a servant. (Luke 22:27 BBE). I urge you today, find
pride in serving. Don't push your way to the front; don't sweet-talk your way to the top.
Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don't be obsessed with getting
your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.( Philippians 2:3-4 MSG).
GO ACHIEVE
