Welcome dear friends to another week of becoming better at
whatever we find ourselves to do. It gives me joy to share this space with you
even as we journey through our dreams and visions. I heard this sometimes back “ if I miss a day of practice, I notice it;
if I miss two days, my wife notices it; if I miss three, the public notices it.”
–Paderewski
Righteousness is equity in character and action. As in every
other aspect of our lives, we ought to train in righteousness. Many people are
put off by the word “righteousness”, to them it is attempting the impossible,
so it’s a no go area, so they shun righteousness. In one sense they are right,
because on our own it is an impossible feat. Our best efforts are
grease-stained rags (Isaiah 64:6 MSG).
Did you know that if you put first things first things get
easier? Like understanding the first things about righteousness –righteousness is
what we receive, it’s a gift from God through Jesus Christ. How? You say. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything
wrong, so we could be put right with God (2 Corinthians 5:21 MSG).
Now, you say, if it’s a gift where is the part of training? See
it this way, few years back, my friend gifted me with a lovely box guitar, I have
not put in the required training that will make me a pro. So every day I wake
up and it stares at me. Does it me I don’t have the guitar? No, I have only
failed to train myself as I ought to, in other to become a pro. Same way, we
must take conscious efforts to put what God has gifted us in Christ.
That we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, is not
a certificate to live a carefree life but a call to responsibility. And responsibility
is not a gift, you train to become responsible. Make a decision today to train
in righteousness, if you must reign today. I know you can, God knows you can.
GO ACHIEVE
