I will like to share with you my
thoughts about this common saying we all say or must have heard someone say –“WHAT
WILL BE WILL BE”.
There are many who live their lives
by the saying “what will be will be”. That is to say, things will eventually
unfold themselves to what they are supposed to be. Most of us can relate to these
words, most times we use it and live by it, especially when at our wits ends.
pardon me, this is my candid opinion, I strongly think that people who live like this accept anything that comes their way –and guess what, end up run-of-the-mill. Anybody who is somebody today, who has amounted to something desirable in life, knew what they wanted and went for it. None left it to chance.

Jesus said, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to
testify to the truth. In another place, He said, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night
cometh, when no man can work. Now, He did not relax, He did not say, well
God has sent me a savior to the world “let what will be become “. He went for
it. At age 12, He said to Joseph and Mary, when they were looking for Him, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My
Father's business?"
Paul said, But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and
called me through His grace. By this we know that Paul was very much aware
of what he wanted out of life. The same man also said, I labored more than they all, comparing his labor with that of
other apostles.
Nelson Mandela, once said “one day I will be
the first black president of South Africa”. And he sure was, he did not fold
his hands to proclaim what will be will be! He followed hard after his dreams. Eventually,
he actualized it.
None of these men said “what will be
will be”. They very much knew what they wanted and went for it from the word go! No obstacle was strong enough to stop them. It
is funny how many of us live our lives on “what will be will be”. Expecting our visions, dreams and passions to unfold themselves. Look around you,
look at the people you believe in, those you think have achieved something, say
your mentors, even in your work place, school or church, anywhere you find
yourself. People who make a difference are those who go for what they want. They
know it clearly and they go for it.
The calendar year 2017, is a few
hours away, for some it is filled with recession, depression and frustration. Truth
is for many, it is filled with inspiration,
aspirations and celebrations. How do I know this? The bible says it is to you according to your faith. For as
a man thinks so is he. So if you think recession, depression and
frustration, you will get just that. If you think inspirations, aspirations and celebrations, you will get same.
I will like to encourage you, to
make a decision today, to live a life filled with inspiration, aspiration and celebration in the year ahead. No matter
what you see around you, what people are saying around you or even what the
government is doing around you.
Albert Einstein said “In
the midst of every crisis lies great opportunities”. So seize the
moment and turn it into gold. While others are wailing, look at what you can do
to stop the wailing. People are troubled when things around them lose value,
you can seek to create value for them. And people appreciate value, people will
be drawn to value. By this, many shall come to you for the value created, I believe
this is part of what the bible meant by kings
shall come to your rising. More often than not, people pay to get value.
Now, am not asking you to make a new
year’s resolution that you will break by the second week of January 2017. I want
you to prayerfully make decisions, write down this decisions in your diary, on a wall, anywhere that will let you see it easily, better still daily. Let it be your constant reminder. Decisions such as to become better in life, better
academically, become a better friend to somebody, a better husband or wife, a
better Christian, a better citizen. You know the areas of your life where you
want to do better. Or maybe kick off that long awaited vision, dream or passion
of yours, write that book. The world is waiting for you. You need to take the
first step. You must not start big, there is beauty in starting small. And finally,
remember, IT IS UP TO YOU FOR ANYTHING
TO BE OR NOT BE.
HAVE A BLISSFUL 2017
Inspiring and so beautifully written. More grease
