EAGLE VIEW

But those who wait upon God get fresh strengthThey spread their wings and soar like eagles....
[Isaiah 40:31, Message Translation]
Those who wait on God soar like the eagles. This is the word of strength for you this week. The eagle, a marvellous animal, is a specimen that has been used often to symbolise strength, speed, accuracy and even keenness of sight. The bible likens the strengthening of those that wait upon the Lord to the lifting and soaring of eagles.
Eagles are special birds,(often referred to as the king of all birds) admired greatly for so many things. One of them includes the ability to soar using the wind as a propelling force. The eagle doesn't expend as much energy flapping His wings when flying. He just relies on the wind currents to push Him upwards and maintains his velocity at that point. Because of this, the eagle achieves far greater heights and speed than other lower birds. And the thrilling thing is that he does so with greater ease. From his point above he also enjoys something morekeenness of sight.

Another beautiful thing about the eagle is his sight. This has been the inspiration for the phrase, "Eagle eye", describing a keen attention to detail. The eagle though far away gets to enjoy the benefits of both the "bird eye view" which comes with being able to see a very  wide range from up above as well as the "eagle eye view"He literally gets to see the bigger picture, and detailedly too!
Dear believer, there are times when we're worout and all we can do is to pray. There are times also when we just feel "there" and we just feel like lying where we're at. It's especially horrible when it seems we're at inexplicable points of our lives that don't seem to fit in anywherePoints that don't seem to make sense.
Nevertheless, in all these we are shown a way out! Take out time and intentionally wait on the Lord. As you do so, there is an immediate uplifting of your soulWe are able to receive strength, speed and are helped to lifthe eyes of our hearts far above the troubles of life and see from our Father's perspective- the exact way Hwants us to always behold things.
From this view point we get to see the truth that has been engraved in stone for all of eternity:
"We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose." [Romans 8:28, Amplified Version]
