In science there is a phenomenon called insensible water loss, it is the amount of fluid lost on a daily basis from the lungs, skin, respiratory tract and water excreted in feces. The exact amount cannot be measured, but can be estimated. The other ways through which we lose water are via the kidneys by urine, the intestines through bowel movements, and the skin during exercise.
Progress is what we all crave, we are built to make advances in life. So much that we have various monitors, detectors and indicators, some are in human forms, setup consciously and unconsciously to keep us in check.
For a while I have translated this theory into my daily living. Many times we judge ourselves to be making progress only when we can quantify our results, when our human progress detectors can celebrate us for the distance covered. We so depend on this form of progress that we are blind to the insensible progress taking place daily.
One of the reasons people cut corners and eventually fail is because they lack this idea of insensible progress. These are people who fail to celebrate the little victories along the way, they beat themselves up if they are not winning big time.
Learn to celebrate a 10% progress when you set out for 100% and miss, it will go a long way to give you the right mindset to gain the remaining 90%. You have been lied to that such mindset is for a mediocre. When you spend your years hoping for a big break and ignore the little progress along the way, how will you ever achieve the bang?
See how to win, how to make progress, “FOR PRECEPT MUST BE UPON PRECEPT, PRECEPT UPON PRECEPT; LINE UPON LINE, LINE UPON LINE; HERE A LITTLE, AND THERE A LITTLE” (Isaiah 28:10 KJV). You can be sure of good progress, when you recognize and lay up your insensible progress along the way.
It is very important to note that this kind of progress is never picked up by others, even you most of the time will miss it. You just have to know that you are making progress. Each time you set out to achieve a goal, instead of dwelling on your misses, count your blessings.
GO ACHIEVE
