Last week we agreed we will let the main thing be the main thing this year. And I tell you as many that will put God first this year will not be ashamed.
Today, I will like to let you know that it is not enough to declare "God is the main thing for me this year" as important as declaring it is.
We must continue in the same spirit, the same vigor which drove us to declare this. What is the essence of saying "this year God is the main thing" on the 1st of January and by the 4th we can't even remember we said so?
Many times as the new year comes people make resolutions, but many fail to keep their resolve. It is not because it is impossible to keep, they simply fail to continue in what they have decided to do,achieve or become.
Consistency is key to success, if we must succeed to let the main thing be the main thing this year then we must strive to be consistent. To continue in the basics we started up with in the path we have chosen.
If God must be the main thing in our life this year, we must continue in prayers, fellowship, studying of the word of God and very importantly doing it.
The believers continued to devote themselves to what the apostles were teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to times of prayer. (Acts 2:42 ISV).
If you have found the main thing, do all you can to continue in it this year, no matter how many times you fall stand up and continue.
