TRAIN TO BE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

Hello friends, welcome to a new week with new grounds to break. Last week I talked to you about training for reigning. Today, I will like to continue in the same direction but specifically on a very vital area of our life that we need training. For us to reign in life we need directions, the way to go, when to go, how to go, etc. all this sums up to the need for training.

One way we need to train ourselves is on HOW TO FOLLOW THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. It is the joy of God the father to point us in the right direction. To speak to us as a man speaks to his fellow man, but sadly people have made hearing from God or being led by the Spirit an impossible task.

Many believe they are unworthy to hear from God, so they look for someone they count worthy to hear for them. Many see God as too mighty to want to talk to them, yes God is all mighty, but he wants to talk with you, He wants to lead you in the right part. And others still don’t think God speaks or leads anyone.

See the way I see it, God created this world, who better to lead you than Him. Like you pay me a visit at my home and you try to show me around my home, it will be out of place. My friend God wants to lead you by His Spirit more than you want to hear from Him. And the truth is hearing from God follows the same pattern of training in other areas of your life.

Hearing from God or being led by His Spirit is not automatic, you learn to discern the voice of God, the same way you learn to pick the voice of a close friend even from a distance. Now, this is where many miss it, they think it’s automatic. It is not, you need to train yourself in this area as well, like every other training, you make mistakes till you become better and better and from few mistakes to almost no mistake.

Friend, God’s plan is to lead you by His Spirit, for until you can hear Him through His Spirit speaking to you, you can’t achieve anything with Him. What those it take to be led by the Holy Spirit? To be born again and to train to hear from Him. The benefits are all wrapped up in this scripture.

 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"— but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
